October is OCF Membership Month

by OCF Home Office

OCF small group in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina

Your local OCF group is truly the heartbeat of Officers’ Christian Fellowship—a place where you can share the unique challenges of your military life in a supportive Christian setting of prayer, Bible study, and fellowship.

We’re calling on local leaders in October for assistance with OCF’s Membership Month.  There are likely people already attending your OCF group who are not actual OCF members and missing out on the benefits ofmembership.

Here’s what we’re asking you to do:

  • Take a laptop to one of your regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Ask each person if they’ve ever signed up online or sent in an application to be an OCF member.
  • If they haven’t, invite them to join by filling out the online form at OCF’s website (http://www.ocfusa.org/join-ocf/join-form)

Share the following information with your group

You are part of a dynamic group of fellow believers in the military society:

  • 16,000 regular and associate members—active duty/retired officers, family, and friends of the military.
  • Over 500 new members this year
  • More than 350 OCF Bible study fellowships

OCF’s staff representatives minister to the military at the:

  • Military academies (USMA, USNA, USAFA, USCGA)
  • Education centers (Fort Leavenworth, Pensacola, Quantico and Maxwell AFB)
  • Larger military centers (such as Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Fort Hood/South Texas)

OCF’s outreach includes:

  • Spiritually Smart Family conferences, ministering to the military and their families
  • Conference centers in Pennsylvania and Colorado
  • ROTC retreats, via our partnership with Valor

OCF membership benefits include:

  • A free subscription to COMMAND magazine
  • Christ-centered, military-themed articles
  • Photos of other OCF groups around the world
  • OCF news, views and activities
  • A link-up program, where you can find other OCF groups worldwide
  • OCF NewsWire, an e-mail newsletter of breaking news or commentary on important OCF issues by OCF’s Executive Director David Warner.

OCF local leaders—thank you for the eternal impact you are making for the Lord’s kingdom work through the ministry of Officers’ Christian Fellowship.
