OCF Maxwell AFB
Col Houstoun and Tami Waring, USAF (Ret.)
Hous and Tami Waring met and married as a result of God’s work and OCF’s presence at the Air Force Academy. Both are USAFA graduates, they raised nine children (four still at home), they lived in base housing whenever possible, and they have supported the chaplaincy through attendance at services and by volunteering as local leaders. Hous’ specialty was as a pilot in the F-15E Strike Eagle while Tami’s specialty changed from Space System Analyst to mother and teacher. Today they are OCF’s staff representatives assigned in the Maxwell-Gunter AFB area.
During the family move from Alaska to Alabama, the Warings took a route which allowed them to visit the majority of Air Force bases across the lower 48 states. If you saw a truck with Alaska plates pulling a pop-up camper trailer pass through a chapel or FamCamp lot, it might have been Hous and Tami with four kids and a black lab. They look forward to hosting all who visit the Montgomery, AL area and will plan to visit Maxwell-Gunter graduates at their future homes as God provides the time and opportunity.
