OCF Minnesota

The OCF fellowship in Minnesota is organized to provide Christian fellowship between active, retired, former officers, and ROTC students in the Twin Cities area and beyond.

We provide opportunities for ROTC students to rub shoulders with current and former officers to share experiences and to help prepare for active duty; as well as provide for a chance to take a few hours off from hectic campus life.

OCF Minnesota has a working relationship with Campus Crusade (CRU) VALOR Ministries to assist each other with student programs.

We host an annual dinner to promote OCF activities among Guard, Reserve, active duty, retired personnel and ROTC cadets/midshipmen. The evening includes a featured speaker, who encouarges our military community and their service, and also entertainment.

Former NASA astronaut Col Jack Lousma, USMC (Ret.), was the speaker for the 2016 banquet, who during his 17-year NASA service piloted a two-month mission aboard Skylab, America's first space station, performed two spacewalks, and was thecCommander of the third orbital test flight of the Space Shuttle Columbia.

Country music recording artist Rockie Lynne, who served for three years in the 82ndAirborne at Fort Bragg, has appeared in many venues including the Grand Ol Oprey. He has also entertained the troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as performing numerous "Tribute to the Troops" concerts.

Plans are underway for the 2017 banquet.
