Women in uniform: Join us as we gather together to explore the forgiveness we receive from the Lord and how that extends to our personal and professional lives. Navy veteran Kristin Goodrich and Air Force veteran Tami Waring look forward to leading these sessions together to encourage you in your faith journey in military life. Bring another uniformed woman in order to influence our service members for the sake of the gospel!
White Sulphur Springs Conference Center is hosting the annual Leading Women Retreat for uniformed women, whether past, present, or future. The weekend will feature speaker sessions, great meals provided by WSS’ kitchen, and free time activities like horseback rides and time around the campfire in the scenic Allegheny Mountains.
About the speakers:
Kristin Goodrich is a 1989 graduate of the Naval Academy. Following four years of naval schooling, she went on to serve in Panama, on Okinawa, and in Maryland. After marrying her active-duty Air Force husband, she put in her papers and got out of the Navy. Together, they had three military brats with whom they embraced the military lifestyle. Following their final assignment at an Army post, they moved to Colorado Springs where they bought a house for the first time. Part of the third generation of Navy sailors, she bleeds blue and gold! She can be reached at [email protected].
Tami Waring is a 1984 graduate from the United States Air Force Academy. She served for 5 years in the AF as a Space Systems Analyst in Intel. After separating from the AF she followed her AF husband, Hous, around for over 24 years of his career. Tami and Hous have nine children and 16 grandchildren, spread out in eight states. She homeschooled all her children and just sent the last child off to college in July of 2022. Currently Tami works for Officers’ Christian Fellowship (OCF) as the Staff Representative for Women’s Ministry. She enjoys reading and knitting in her free time.
